![]() I don't think it's just sound, and it affects different people different, it manipulates people into making more markers in order to make more nercromorphs. When in the presence of deceased tissue, it began to change it somehow into the necromorph forms. Which also appeared to give out energy, but it began to drive people insane. But on the planet Aegis 7 humans created the red marker. I don't know what happened to the original marker. But they kept it a secret and began experiments to replicate it on other planets. At the time people were sort of panicking about resources and energy because they were all running out, so they were chuffed to have found the marker. Ok, people found a marker on Earth (known as the black marker) Turned out if gave out limitless energy, like was able to power electronics indefinitely. I played Dead Space 1 and 2 and I played the first 30 minutes of 3 before I realized I have absolutely no idea what's going on, so I backtracked and I'm on Dead Space 2 again to try to make sense of these questions. What does that mean? Is it giving people super powers that I don't know about? Why doesn't Isaac have them? The "light" answer I've been getting to these questions is, "the marker brings about great power". Why do non Unitologists want to keep building markers (EarthGov) if every time they keep doing so, it's turning everyone in the city into a necromorph? Even Scientologists would know not to worship something that turns you into a killer alien. Why do the Unitologists worship the marker if it's turning everyone around them into psychotic fucked up aliens? Everything I've read about them in-game and on the internet makes them look like a regular "nu religion" like Scientology or something. ![]() If it's a sound that turns people into necromorphs, why isn't everyone with ears a necromorph? Can anyone explain that to me? Why would a sound turn people into a different creature? ![]() I've now come to realize it's a sound signal being put out that turns people into necromorphs. This whole time, for some reason, I've been assuming the markers were somehow creating a parasite that crawled into peoples bodies and turned them into necromorphs. ![]()
